Tanjong Pagar Railway Station

Tanjong Pagar Railway Station: It was the first weekend of the school holidays and some students made use of the opportunity to make a trip from Tanjong Pagar Railway Station.

One school has planned for more than 200 students and parents to make trips up to Malaysia.

The Tanjong Pagar Railway station is set to be relocated to the Woodlands Train Checkpoint from July 1.

The Malaysian Railway or KTM said passenger load on Saturday was thrice the usual load.

Many passengers said they wanted to experience travelling from Tanjong Pagar Railway Station before it closes.

The KTM has also reported an 80 percent increase in online bookings since news of the relocation of the Tanjong Pagar Station broke.

KTM added two more carriages to its trains during the weekends.

And its long distance services to Kuala Lumpur, Ipoh and Penang are also almost fully booked till June.
