Celebrity Cricket League

Celebrity Cricket League: The IPL series may have ended, but cricket action in India never ceases. Now, pad up for the Celebrity Cricket League (CCL), which brings together two most popular forms of entertainment - cinema and cricket. For the first time in India, the film stars from southern film industry, Tamil, Telugu and Kannada, too will pad up for the sport, which will be played in the T20 format.
This multi-starrer action entertainer will kickstart from June 4 at Bengaluru and will be telecast live on Sahara One. CCLT20 will comprise four teams — Mumbai Heroes, Chennai Rhinos, Karnataka BullDozers and Telugu Warriors. While Mumbai Heroes will be led by Suniel Shetty and vice-captain Ritiesh Deshmukh, Salman Khan will bat for Mumbai Heroes. Other players in Mumbai Heroes include Aftab Shivdasani, Mahesh Manjrekar, Kabir Sadanand, Apoorva Lakhia, Sonu Sood, Sunny Singh, Angad Bedi, Varun Badola, Vatsal Seth and Sohail Khan.
The teams from southern film industries include Kicha Sudeep as captain of Karnataka BullDozers, Venkatesh as the captain of Telugu Warriors and Abbas will lead the Tamil Rhinos. The opening ceremony includes a performance by Sonu Niigaam, and a presentation by 1,200 drummers.
