Hardware Zone Singapore: A Singaporean woman has been lambasted by netizens for her insensitive remarks about the death of a full-time national serviceman (NSF) who collapsed during training on Tuesday.
After news of the death of Private Dominique Sarron Lee, 21, was reported online, Ms Zheng Huiting said in her Facebook post: 'Singaporeans too weak? LOL.' LOL is short for 'laugh out loud'.
Ms Zheng, 22, is pursuing a bachelor's degree in fine arts in Australia.
A screenshot of her post went viral on Wednesday after it was reposted on websites like Temasek Times and hardwarezone.com forum. Netizens were quick to condemn her actions, with many calling her 'a disgrace' and 'disrespectful'. As of last night, the post on hardwarezone had attracted more than 80,000 views and 900 comments.
