Guru Arjan Dev Ji: In a message on the martyrdom day of Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji, the Chief Minister said that Guru ji laid down his life for the humanitarian cause and his unparalleled sacrifice would ever act as a source of inspiration for the future generations. Guru ji compiled the sacred 'Bani' of Sri Guru Granth Sahib ji, which is a 'beacon light and would continue to guide the destiny of human beings to enable them to lead a meaningful life.
The real homage to the great Guru would be to follow his noble teachings, high ideals in true spirit and strive hard to safeguard the interests of oppressed and disadvantaged sections of the society. "We must remember the underlying spirit and message associated with Sri Guru Arjan Dev ji's selfless sacrifice", said Badal.
